Guitar Improvisation - Karl Him

Audiovisual Work/
Wagnerischer Lichtung" ("Wagnerian Glade") - Henning Lundkvist

The source material for the work - extracts from Richard Wagner's autobiography as well as his opera "Tristan and Iseult" - puts Wagner's experiences and descriptions of the 1849 revolution attempt in Dresden against the secret nightly meetings of Tristan and Iseult, and the enlightening gaze of history against the twilight in which its possibilities are still slumbering

Record Launch/
Israel in Egypt by G.F. Händel (1739-2008) - Henning Lundkvist / Padraig Timoney

In this audio work, Lundkvist connotes Händel's famous composition "Israel in Egypt" (composed 1739 and, with its recording in 1888, being the first ever recorded piece of music) with the 1739 Stono Rebellion (one of the first slave uprisings in North America) and the 1888 Match Stick girls strike. A humble attempt to intertwine different layers from the fabric of history through one of the simplest means available - superimposing.

Earlier releases from the ongoing series of economicthoughtprojects 7” will be available on the night…
